History |
In early 2002, insurance industry veteran and CJA Marketing founder Raymond
Ankner had an idea for a system that would radically increase the speed with
which advanced pension plan illustrations could be produced. He sought
the means to build such a system, and through an existing relationship with an
established technology team, a specification and project plan was
produced. It had became clear that the traditional insurance industry
method of providing insurance software via CD had limited ability to meet the
needs of the situation, and that a web based application would allow for the
flexibility, agent visibility, and rapid development curves that were required.
The next six-months saw a proof-of-concept and subsequent first release.
PlanGen was founded in 2003 and began producing 412(i)
platforms for major insurance carriers, and has continued to produce custom
plan engines for carriers and their most successful agencies. PlanGen has
added the 419(e), Section 79 and Traditional Defined Benefit systems. Development continues to improve and add to the wide variety of Illustration systems offerred by PlanGen.
